The multicultural nature and the rapidly changing demography of Canada has created unique challenges in providing housing and other services for population segments of seniors and adults with physical, mental or developmental disabilities. While Canada has made every attempt to include multicultural communities into its fabric, weaknesses can still be seen when it comes to providing retirement homes for its seniors or affordable housing for adults with disabilities belonging to the visible minority groups.
